During a recent visit to Costa Rica I fell in love with this refreshing, tasty and nourishing drink. During a chocolate making class in Costa Rica we toured their organic farm and made this drink. This Costa Rican Lemonade is equally delicious with and without alcohol. With just 4 simple ingredients, it’s hard to come up with an excuse to not make this drink. Each of the ingredients serves a purpose and that’s what makes this drink so great.
Sugar Cane Juice – Is a natural diuretic, stabilizes blood glucose levels, is high in antioxidants and vitamins and minerals and helps with digestion. Oh, and it tastes great too!
Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice – Is a great source of vitamins and minerals and has many health benefits such as aiding in weight loss, supporting heart health, and protect against anemia as it aids iron absorption.
Sea Salt – Is known to aid digestion and boost electrolytes to help with hydration when consumed in beverages. Just by adding a pinch to your drink can make a difference.
Cacique Guaro (Sugar Cane Alcohol) – Is an optional ingredient in this recipe!
I can’t wait for you to enjoy this delicious Costa Rican Lemonade Cocktail or Mocktail!

Instructions
- Freshly squeeze 3 ounces of lemon juice.
